Just the other day, I and my friends during a sleepover at my place, were going through various fashion magazines and brainstorming on how we can dress like the models featured and at the same time don’t burn a hole in our pockets. Well, we came up with quite an interesting list on how to dress fashionably without emptying our pockets. The best part is that this really works. My co-workers have started admiring my change in wardrobe and keep telling me how fashionable I have started to look. So, here you go and be sure to try all of the following:
Decide a Budget:
Before going on a shopping spree, decide a budget that you’ll spend on clothing for the month. This will help you focus on the things you actually need, rather than impulse buying. Even an 100$ budget is good enough.
Buy Classy Basics:
Invest in some classy quality basics, like the timeless black skirt or dress, black trousers, tops in basic colours of white, black, and cream, traditional trench coat, and a chic cashmere sweater. You can combine these with trendy outfits to create your own fashion. Always remember, that trends come and go, but classics will see you a long way.
Keep an Eye on End-of-season Sales:
Be on a lookout for end-of-season sales at your favorite designer stores. End-of-seasons sale can be a gold mine for picking up designer dresses at very nominal prices. All designer stores have a clearance sale each year, so keep your eyes open for them.
Hit the Thrift shops/Consignment Shops and Discount Stores
Discount stores, thrift and consignment shops are a great place to get amazing bargains on clothes, accessories, and shoes. Last month, one of my friend got a mink coat for just 50$ at a thrift shop. Quite a deal!
Also, during the holiday season, retail organizations donate unsold clothing and accessories to charity. So chances are you might find clothing and accessories with their tags still on!
Another secret, don’t miss to visit thrift shops in and around college campuses and areas where fashionable people stay. Generally, students and fashionable people change their wardrobe according to the trend and donate unwanted clothes to thrift shops. So, you might find a very good deal there.
Innovate With Jewelries and Accessories:
Put aside a budget for jewelries and accessories. A strand of pearl, a silver bracelet, a leather belt, or a chic wristwatch, not only adds that touch of élan, but is also timeless. These jewelry and accessories can be worn innovatively to complement even plain dressing. Also add some funky jewelry according to your taste and personality to heighten your style statement.
Be Creative With Your Old Clothes:
You have quite a pile of old clothes in your closet. So, what can you do about it? You can re-invent your old clothing into more fashionable stuff, like adding some lace to a top, or making a mini skirt out of your old denim jeans. You can also swap the clothes that you don’t anymore with your friends.
Now that you know how to dress fashionably on a budget, go ahead and become a fashionista among your peers.Immobilienmakler Heidelberg Makler Heidelberg
